The Beta 58A is the step up from the SM58 when the stage gets loud. It’s hotter, brighter and more focused, which helps a vocal cut through a busy mix.
It’s a supercardioid dynamic with a neodymium element for higher output, a 50Hz to 16kHz response and a tight pickup pattern for more gain before feedback. A pneumatic shock mount cuts handling noise, and the dent-resistant steel mesh grille takes a knock. It weighs 278g.
