MLX is the big sub in Martin Audio’s MLA family. Two long-excursion 18″ drivers in a hybrid horn/reflex box, with amplification and DSP built in.
It’s rated at 150dB peak (140dB continuous) with a 35Hz to 150Hz response, from 8500W of onboard Class D power. Cabinets can face forward or backward for cardioid and other directional sub arrays, which helps keep low end off the stage and away from the neighbours. It’s networked over U-NET and weighs 160kg, so it lives on a wheel board.
