The Beta 57A is the SM57’s bigger sibling. It’s hotter and more focused, so it’s the one to reach for when the stage is loud and you need every source separate.
It’s a supercardioid dynamic with a neodymium element for higher output and a 50Hz to 16kHz response tailored for guitars, drums and vocals. The tight pattern gives more gain before feedback and better off-axis rejection, a pneumatic shock mount cuts mechanical noise, and the steel mesh grille is dent-resistant. It weighs 275g.
