Description
The Beta 91A is a flat boundary mic built to sit on a pillow inside the kick drum. It picks up the beater attack and punch that an outside mic can miss.
It’s a half-cardioid condenser with an integrated preamp and XLR connector, so there’s no separate preamp box to lose. It needs phantom power. A two-position contour switch lets you shape the low end for kick or other low-frequency sources, and it’s built to handle extremely high SPL. It’s also a good choice under a piano lid.
